WHAT YOU GET The Design Process & Services
THE FIRST CONSULTATION
The consultation is approximately 1 hour. I can offer ideas to improve your garden. You have the opportunity to meet me and look at my portfolio. I will look at your site and we can assess the best method of moving forward.
THE FULL DESIGN SERVICE
Gardens that are tailor made to your needs require you to be be part of the design process. Your input can be crucial which is why I recommend you have the Full Design Service, a garden solution that is special to you and your site.
The Full Design Service includes the following stages;
1. FIRST CONSULTATION – Review the clients requirements and analyse the site. A design brief is formulated for you after this meeting and you are asked to sign this to commence the design process. A site survey is usually required at the first meeting or soon after.
2. CONCEPT PRESENTATION - Initial landscape design ideas, which includes a concept plan & often a sketch of key features, as show above. At this stage you can respond with your comments, working with the designer to refine the plan.
3. DESIGN DEVELOPMENT STAGE – Presentation of landscaping materials & plants.You are shown photos of plants and samples of landscape materials (eg. Pavers) that are to be used in your design. Elevations and key features are shown. Your feedback is always welcome, you review the project and make final choices.
4. FINAL PRESENTATION – Final landscape construction & planting plan.You are presented with 2 copies of your final drawings. One for you to keep, the presentation drawing, hand coloured, like at top (left). The second is a black & white drawing for you to hand onto your contractor, like the drawing shown alongside.
Payment is made in installments, invoiced at each stage.
OTHER SERVICES AVAILABLE
CONSULTATION REPORT
A consultation report can be prepared, reinforcing discussions in the intial consultation. Suggestions can be offered in writing.
PLANTING ONLY DESIGNS
Like the garden design by the hour, planting only designs are paid by the hour. Once I have seen the site & discovered your requirements I can determine a time frame that would suit the project & your budget.
GARDEN DESIGN BY THE HOUR
For small or uncomplicated gardens, you may consider paying for the garden design per hour. Once I have seen the site and assessed your requirements I can determine a time frame that would suit the project & your budget.
GARDEN MAKEOVERS
You may require to improve your garden to boost the sale of your house, contact Philippa Edmonds for a consultation, to determine the best approach to make your garden look it's best.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Project management of landscape jobs. The designer's input ensures that your contractor adheres to the original design. This service is costed at the hourly rate and you only pay for the hours on the project.
PURCHASING PLANTS & LANDSCAPE ACCESSORIES
Sourcing of plants, landscape art, materials & accessories is also offered at very competitive prices
PLANT MAINTENANCE
Plant maintenance schedules are available to help clients understand how to look after their plants.
